Christian Jules Leblanc plays 'Michael Baldwin'

Born Christian Jules LeBlanc in North Carolina, he is the second oldest of eight children.

LeBlanc currently plays Michael Baldwin on The Young and the Restless. He first played the role from 1991 to 1993 and has played him since 1997.

In 1998, Christian was nominated for a Soap Opera Digest Award in the category of Favourite Return. He was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for the role 6 times, and won for Outstanding Lead Actor award in 2005 and 2007.

Christian graduated with honours from Tulane University, where he majored in ancient history and pre-med.

He opted to pursue an acting career after he was offered a role in the television series Edit Point.

Since then, Christian has appeared on the television programs Cheers, Gabriel's Fire and Perry Mason. He also had a recurring role on the series In the Heat of the Night and played Kirk McColl on As the World Turns.

Christian's stage credits include Ladies in Retirement, in which he co-starred with the legendary actress Julie Harris, and No Orchids for Miss Blandish.

In 2000, Christian produced and starred in his first short film, Puppy Love, which co-starred former Y&R cast member Tricia Cast. The film was honoured as the Outstanding Short Film at the Los Angeles International Short Film Awards in April 2001.
