The 4th of July is always a standout episode for The Young and the Restless and this year did not disappoint. Besides the growing feud between Restless Style business partners Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Jack (Peter Bergman), fans witnessed Chloe's (Elizabeth Hendrickson) growing obsession with Cane (Daniel Goddard), Amber (Adrienne Frantz) fell victim to Phyllis' (Michelle Stafford) manipulation and sought solace in a depressed Adrian's (Eyal Podell) arms, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) struggled with her feelings of betrayal as her ex-best friend Sabrina (Raya Meddine) basked in the pregnancy glow and Michael (Christian LeBlanc) struggled with the realization that Gloria (Judith Chapman) had remarried Jeff (Ted Shackelford). Whew! The writers were working overtime on this episode but so were the music men at Y&R. The episode was packed with cool tunes that highlighted the pivotal storylines with just the right note.
Here's a list of the music used in this holiday episode:
The song at the Newman ranch when Victor is holding Reed was "In Just That Kind of a Mood" by Jonny Blu.

Special thanks to the "music men" at Y&R, music supervisors Mike Dobson and Bryan Harrison, for finding the tunes and hitting all the right notes. Great job!
